Farhana brings extensive regulatory and capital markets experience, including more than a decade as a Director at the Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC), with senior-level responsibilities in securities regulation, market supervision, regulatory compliance, and international affairs. Her work is grounded in a regulator’s perspective, focused on accuracy, consistency, risk identification, and practical compliance execution.

She holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Economics from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. She has also completed the Regulatory Compliance Specialization from the University of Pennsylvania (UPenn) and Forensic Accounting and Fraud Examination from West Virginia University.
